*Prologue* My name is Liam. I became obsessed with my employer's wife. We became sex partners but just three weeks after meeting her, I died. Sex killed me. A fucking pussy killed me. Funny, isn't it? Three weeks. That's all it took for my life to change completely. If I had known how those three weeks would end, how addicted I would get to fucking her everyday, I would have walked away the moment I met her. But I didn't and that's where my story begins. Chapter 1 The cleaner arrived at The Sapphire Club early that morning, just like she did every other day. She came in for her usual morning duties, expecting the club to be as quiet as it normally was at that hour. The place was unusually quiet. She walked through the entrance and began making her way inside, carrying the cleaning supplies she had brought with her. She was about to start her work when something caught her attention. She stopped. Her eyes went straight to the white tiles beneath her feet. There was blood on them. At first, she thought maybe she was seeing things. She blinked a few times and looked again. It was blood. Her heart immediately started beating faster. "What happened here?" she muttered under her breath. She slowly moved closer, following the trail of blood across the white tiles. The more she walked, the more nervous she became. Just as she was about to get closer to the source, she noticed something else. A white shirt, possibly a man's shirt, had been placed over part of the bloodstained area. She stood there for a moment, staring at it. Her hands began to shake slightly. She didn't know why but something about the sight made her uncomfortable. Still, she slowly bent down and picked up the shirt. The moment she lifted it, she froze. There was blood all over the place. Her eyes widened as she looked around, trying to understand what had happened. Where was all this blood coming from? She slowly turned her head, scanning the Sapphire Club. Nothing. The place looked almost normal but the blood on the floor told a completely different story. She took another careful look around, trying to trace where it had come from. Then, just as she was turning toward the swimming pool, she saw something in the water. She stopped breathing. Her eyes remained fixed on the pool. There was a body floating inside it. For a few seconds, she couldn't move. She simply stood there, staring at the lifeless body floating in the water. Then reality hit her. "Ah!" Her scream echoed through the quiet club. She stumbled backward, almost losing her balance as fear took over her body. Her shout immediately drew the attention of the security guards. They rushed toward her, wondering what had happened. "What is the problem?" one of them asked. The cleaner couldn't answer immediately. She was still shaking badly, her eyes fixed on the swimming pool. She raised her trembling hand and pointed toward the water. The security guard followed the direction of her finger. The moment he saw the body, his expression changed. He quickly understood why she was screaming. "Stay here," he said. He reached for his phone with trembling hands and immediately dialed 911. "This is The Sapphire Club in Miami, Florida," he said urgently. "There's a body floating in the swimming pool. We need the police here immediately." He ended the call and looked back at the pool. The cleaner was still standing beside him, shaking in fear. Neither of them said another word. They simply stared at the body floating silently in the water, waiting for the police to arrive. Three weeks earlier... Elena Whitmore is living what looks like a perfect life. She is a successful lawyer with a good reputation at her firm, a loving family and a beautiful home. From the outside, there is hardly anything anyone can point at and call a problem. She has two children, Sebastian and Amelia Whitmore. Both attend college and are busy with their own studies and lives. Elena is proud of them and always tries to make sure they have everything they need. Her family is the kind people admire. She has been married to Alexander Whitmore for twenty years and to everyone around them, their marriage seems just as perfect. They attend family events together, smile for pictures together, support each other in public and never give anyone a reason to question their relationship. Even at Elena's law firm, people know her as a married woman with a beautiful family. "Elena, do you have a minute?" one of her colleagues asks as she walks into her office. Elena looks up from the documents on her desk. "Sure. What's going on?" "The client for the two o'clock meeting just called. He says he'll be here earlier than expected." Elena glances at the clock. "How early?" "About thirty minutes." She sighs softly and picks up the file in front of her. "Then I guess I have thirty minutes to prepare." Her colleague smiles. "You always prepare anyway." Elena laughs quietly. "That's because I don't like surprises." She returns her attention to the documents, looking every bit like the confident lawyer everyone knows her to be. Her career is going well, her children are doing well, her marriage looks perfect but appearances can be deceiving. Behind the closed doors of her home, things aren't as perfect as they seem. Elena and Alexander have been married for twenty years and while they still care about each other, something between them has slowly changed over the years. Especially when it comes to intimacy. The kind of sex life they once had is no longer the same. There are moments when Elena lies beside her husband at night and feels strangely alone, even though he is right there beside her. No smooching, no touching, not even a cuddle. She doesn't want another family, she doesn't want another life, she simply wants to feel wanted again. She wants to feel desired and deep inside, Elena is beginning to long for it.
Elena was still going through the documents spread across her desk when someone knocked on her door. Before she could answer, the door opened. "Elena, are you busy?" Nathan asked. She looked up and saw him standing by the door. His face was serious, and there was a worried look in his eyes. "Very busy," she said as she picked up another document. "But what is it?" Nathan walked into the office and closed the door behind him. "I need your help." Elena looked at him. "My help with what?" "It's about my divorce." The document in Elena's hand stopped halfway to the desk. She put it down. "Your divorce?" Nathan nodded. "Victoria has filed for divorce." Elena leaned back in her chair. "I'm sorry to hear that. But why are you telling me?" "I want you to represent me." Elena raised her eyebrows. "Nathan, there are a lot of lawyers in this firm. Why me?" "Because I trust you." Elena gave him a doubtful look. "You trust me enough to handle your divorce, but I'm guessing Victoria doesn't know you're here asking me?" Nathan looked toward the window. "She doesn't." Elena sighed and reached for another file. "Okay. Tell me what happened." Nathan pulled out the chair opposite her and sat down. "Victoria says I cheated on her." Elena looked up. "She's not lying," Nathan said. "You cheated on her?" "Yes." Elena was quiet for a moment. "Nathan..." "I know," he said quickly. "I know how it sounds. I made a mistake. Actually, I made more than one mistake, but I don't want to lose my children because of it." Elena looked at him. "Is that what this is really about? The children?" "Yes." Nathan sat up. "Victoria wants full custody. She says I'm irresponsible and that the children are better off with her. She's also trying to make sure I barely get to see them." "And what do you want?" Elena asked. "I want to be part of their lives." His voice became quieter. "I want to see them, spend time with them and be there when they need me." He looked down at his hands. "I don't want to become a father who only hears about his children from other people." Elena was quiet for a moment. "Nathan, custody cases can get complicated, especially when infidelity is involved." "I know." "And if Victoria has evidence against you, this isn't going to be easy." "I know that too." Nathan looked at her. "That's why I need someone who knows what they're doing." Elena looked at the clock on the wall. She still had several documents to go through, a meeting coming up and more work waiting for her. "Nathan, I understand what you're asking, but I can't discuss this properly right now." His expression changed. "When can we talk?" "Later today, if I get the time. If not, tomorrow." "But Elena..." "I said we'll discuss it later." Nathan was quiet for a moment. Then he nodded. "Okay. I'll wait." He got up and walked toward the door. Before he opened it, he turned around. "Please, Elena. I really need your help." Elena nodded. "I'll hear you out." "Thank you." Nathan left. The door closed behind him. Elena looked at the door for a moment before pulling the next file toward her. She returned to work. The rest of the day passed quickly. One file replaced another. Her phone rang several times. Emails continued to come in, and she moved from one meeting to another. Every time she finished one task, another one was waiting. By late afternoon, Elena sat back in her chair and rubbed her neck. She closed her eyes for a few seconds. A knock sounded on the door. She opened her eyes. Nathan stood by the door with a file under his arm. "Are you finally free?" he asked. Elena laughed softly. "Free? I don't think that word exists in this office." Nathan smiled and walked inside. "I was beginning to think you were avoiding me because I cheated on my wife." Elena shook her head. "I wasn't avoiding you. I've just been busy." "That's what every lawyer says when they don't want to talk." Elena pointed to the chair opposite her. "Come in and sit down." Nathan sat. For a few minutes, they talked about work. Nathan told her about one of the firm's current cases and a difficult client who kept changing his statement. "I still don't understand why that client keeps changing his statement," Elena said as she went through one of the documents. "Because he thinks we won't notice." "We always notice." "That's why I told him to stop wasting our time." Elena looked up. "You actually said that to him?" "I did." "You're going to get yourself in trouble one day." "At least I'll get into trouble honestly." Elena laughed. They continued talking about work, the other lawyers in the firm and the pressure they had all been dealing with. Nathan was one of the few people Elena felt comfortable talking to at work. They had known each other for a while, and she had learned to notice when something was bothering him. After a while, his smile disappeared. "There was something else I wanted to talk to you about," he said. Elena looked up. "Your divorce?" Nathan nodded. She closed the file in front of her. "Okay. Tell me." Nathan took a deep breath. "Victoria wants full custody of the children." "And you?" "I want to remain in their lives." He looked down at his hands. "I'm not asking to take the children away from her. I just want to be able to see them. I want to spend time with them and be there when they need me." "Why is she refusing?" Nathan didn't answer immediately. Elena waited. "How many times?" Nathan kept looking at his hands. "Nathan." He remained quiet. "How many times?" He took a deep breath. "If I'm going to represent you, then you need to be honest with me." Nathan finally looked at her. "More than once." Elena shook her head. "Nathan." "I know." He rubbed his face. "I had affairs. Victoria found out." "What kind of evidence does she have?" Elena asked. "She has messages and pictures." Nathan paused. "Some of the women even contacted her after she found out."
Elena took a slow breath. "That's going to make things difficult." "I know." "And what does she say about your relationship with the children?" "She says I'm not a good example for them." Elena looked at him. "Do you think she has a reason to believe you won't take care of them?" "No." He answered immediately. "I may have been a terrible husband, but I'm not a terrible father." Elena remained quiet. Nathan looked down again. "I love my children," he said. "That's the only reason I'm fighting this." He looked back at her. "I don't want to lose them because of the mistakes I made in my marriage." Elena didn't answer immediately. She knew the case would not be simple. Victoria would have her own side of the story, and before Elena could begin preparing Nathan's case, she needed to hear everything. "Have you spoken to another lawyer?" "No." "Why?" "Because I want you." Elena looked at him. "Nathan, you know this is going to be complicated." "I know." "And because we work together, I need to be careful with everything I do." "I understand." Elena was quiet for a moment. "Are you prepared to tell me everything? Even the things that might make you look bad?" Nathan nodded. "Yes." Elena picked up her pen. "Then I'll take the case." Relief showed on Nathan's face. "Really?" "Yes. But I need you to be completely honest with me. No hiding anything. No leaving out details because you think they will make you look bad." "I promise." "And if Victoria has evidence, I need to see all of it." "You'll get everything." Elena nodded. "Good. Bring all the documents to me tomorrow. We'll go through everything properly and start preparing." "Thank you, Elena." She gave him a small smile. "Don't thank me yet. We still have a lot of work to do." Nathan stood. "I know. But at least I know I'm not facing it alone." He walked toward the door. Before he opened it, he stopped. "Elena?" "Yes?" "Thank you." "You're welcome." Nathan left. The door closed behind him. Elena stayed in her chair. She looked at the closed door for a few seconds before looking down at her hand. Her wedding ring was still on her finger. She touched it with her thumb. Nathan's words came back to her. "I don't want to lose my children because of the mistakes I made in my marriage." Elena looked at the files on her desk. A husband, two beautiful children, a successful career and a beautiful home. From the outside, her life looked complete. She looked at her wedding ring again. For years, she had told herself that her marriage was different. That whatever problems existed between her and Alexander could stay behind closed doors. She took her hand away from the ring and picked up the next document. She read the first few lines. Then she stopped. She read them again. The words still refused to hold her attention. She put the document down and leaned back in her chair. For the first time that day, she couldn't concentrate on her work. By the time she got home that evening, she was already tired. Not just from work. She dropped her bag on the chair in the bedroom and stood there for a moment. The room was quiet. Alexander was sitting on the edge of the bed, looking through his phone. Elena took off her shoes and looked at him. "Alexander, can we talk?" she asked. He looked up from his phone. "About what?" he asked. "Us." He put his phone down. "Okay. What's wrong?" Elena took a deep breath. "How long are we going to keep pretending that our marriage is perfect?" Alexander frowned. "What do you mean?" "You know exactly what I mean." She walked closer to him. "Our sex life is boring, Alexander. Everything between us has become so predictable. We barely make an effort anymore." Alexander looked away for a moment. "Elena, we've been married for twenty years. Things change." "I know things change," she said. "But that doesn't mean we have to stop trying." "I am trying." Elena gave a small laugh. "Trying? When was the last time you actually looked at me like you wanted me? When was the last time you grabbed my boobs like your life depended on it? When was the last time you sucked my pussy?" Alexander didn't answer. Elena waited for him to say something. Nothing came. "When was the last time you brought me flowers just because you wanted to make me feel special?" She asked. "When was the last time you made me feel desired? I want you to hold me...yank me so hard that I won't be able to breath." "Elena..." "No. Let me finish." Her voice became softer, but she was still upset. "I am your wife, but sometimes I feel like I'm just another part of the house. We wake up, go to work, come home, eat, sleep and do the same thing the next day." Alexander sighed. "So what do you want me to do?" Elena looked at him. For a moment, she didn't answer. "Maybe we should try something different," she said. He frowned. "Different how?" Elena took a deep breath. "What if we brought someone else into it?" Alexander stared at her. "Someone else?" "Yes." She waited for his reaction. "Maybe someone we both agree on," she said. "Someone who could make things feel different. You could watch, or we could both be involved. Whatever makes you comfortable." Alexander shook his head. "No." Elena's expression changed. "You didn't even think about it." "Because I don't need to think about it. I don't want someone else in our marriage." "It's only an idea." "It's not an idea I want." Elena looked away. "Of course." "Of course what?" Alexander asked. "Nothing." "Elena." She shook her head. "I just thought you might at least consider it." Alexander stood up. "Elena, I love you, but I don't think bringing another person into our marriage is going to fix anything." "Then what will?" Alexander opened his mouth, but no answer came. Elena waited. He remained silent. She nodded slowly. "That's what I thought." "Elena, it's not that simple." "Then tell me what it is." Alexander looked at her. "I don't know." Those words hurt more than she expected. Elena looked away and wiped the corner of her eye before he could notice. "I can't keep doing this," she said. "Doing what?" "Pretending I'm happy." Alexander took a step toward her. "Elena..." She shook her head. "No." She walked toward the bedroom door. "Where are you going?" "I need some air." "Elena, wait." She didn't stop. She walked out of the bedroom and closed the door behind her. Alexander remained standing in the room. For a few seconds, he didn't move. Then he looked down at the phone he had left on the bed. Outside their home, everything still looked perfect. The house was quiet. The lights were on. Everything appeared normal but inside, Elena walked away from her husband with tears in her eyes, knowing that something between them had been broken for a long time and she was ready to satisfy her urge in any means possible.
